How does the SafeMe application work?

The app is designed to be easy to use, helpful and accessible to everyone. Whenever you feel your safety is at risk, when you may be in an emergency situation, such as taking a cab from the app, taking public transportation, returning home at a late hour, etc., turn on the observation of your route so that SafeMe Safety Monitoring Center staff can monitor your route and, in an emergency situation, direct a rapid response group to assist you.

Open the app, have your route monitored, or call for immediate assistance in an emergency or feeling of fear. Security Monitoring Center staff will contact you immediately.

When can I use SafeMe?

Use the SafeMe app every day during activities that could be associated with potential dangers. As statistics show, robbery and sexual assaults are on the rise when returning home late from work, parties (especially after drinking, when your alertness is lowered). Remember that we are at your service to prevent such incidents.

When you feel uncomfortable and sense that there may be a dangerous situation, use the app, SafeMe Monitoring Center staff will assess the situation and, if necessary, send a Rapid Response Group to you or tell you what to do to end the situation safely.

How to buy the service and how much does it cost?

What qualifications do SafeMe security agents have?

SafeMe Rapid Response Groups are SUFO (Specialized Armed Protective Formation) units, i.e. internal security services, created on the basis of the 1997 Law on the Protection of Persons and Property, and private companies that have obtained a license from the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration to conduct business in the field of security services for persons and property, have a bearer firearms permit issued under separate regulations.

What competencies do SafeMe employees have?

Our employees focus on detection, prevention and physical response to danger. The main goal is to help deter and prevent danger.

SafeMe Rapid Response Groups are fully qualified to protect individuals, equipped with firearms and handcuffs. They can use weapons and detain individuals if warranted. If necessary, they request support from the police or other uniformed services.

SafeMe Security Monitoring Center employees working in the control room are fully trained to make initial contact with application users, assess the threat based on a small amount of information, and analyze ICT data to provide additional security.

Can other people use my SafeMe Account?

No, each account is individual, with users providing their data and describing their appearance including the option to add a photo of themselves, so that the Rapid Response Group can recognize the user under all circumstances and quickly provide assistance.

How many times can I call for help?

There is no limit. If you are in an emergency situation, call for help, that’s what this app was created for. If you are in a situation that could turn into a threat to your safety, call for help in the app, a SafeMe Safety Center employee will advise you on the best course of action or send a Rapid Response Group right away. Remember that unjustified calls, for a “joke” etc. are not tolerated by SafeMe, because at the same time another user may need help with a real emergency. Unjustified calls to the Rapid Response Group are combined with a fine to the user in accordance with the app’s terms and conditions.

Why not just call 112 in an emergency?

Public safety 112 dispatchers and first responders are true heroes, but the current law enforcement infrastructure is not 100% adapted to the threats of our time.

In addition, law enforcement services are dispatched to a very large number of calls of any type, our operating model and resources mean that support units are ready 24/7 to assist SafeMe users.

In addition, it has a unique technology that allows us to detect and predict the threat and therefore we are able to respond quickly enough to minimize the chance of a security threat to SafeMe users.

SafeMe’s Rapid Response Groups cooperate with the Police and work together in high-risk situations.

Security Center staff support SafeMe customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They first attempt to contact the user to see if what kind of help the situation requires.

Who do you share my data with?

We care about your security and value the trust you place in us. We use your data to keep you safe. We will disclose your data and location to Rapid Response Groups and emergency services or other public safety personnel only as part of an active alert/notification, as required by law.
